Hi everyone! I’m Kirthi, a first-year medical student, and I’m running to be your next choreographer for Vibes! This year, being part of the VIBES LUU Intercomp and Showcase teams rekindled my love for dance, reconnected me with my roots and made me feel at home in a community of Indian dancers who share that same energy and passion.

Dance has always been a huge part of my life—I’ve been choreographing routines with friends for years for community shows and competitions (some even won awards, which was super exciting!). These experiences sharpened my creativity, deepened my teamwork skills, and taught me the importance of listening to different perspectives to make sure everyone really feels part of the final piece.

One of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had was last year when I choreographed a 10-minute set for a group of 40 dancers- some of whom had never performed before. Watching their confidence grow and helping them push past their comfort zones was incredibly rewarding and it's a big reason why I want to choreograph for Vibes.

If I’m elected, I want to make Vibes an inclusive, welcoming and fun space—whether you’re brand new to dance or a total Madhuri Dixit. My goals are to create fresh, exciting routines that reflect everyone’s ideas, teach in a fun and chill environment, and bring more South Indian flavour to the mix with kuthu-style choreo and classes!

Vibes has been a huge part of my year, and I’d love the chance to give back as your choreographer—sharing my passion for Bollywood music and dance!
