Ellie for Kit Sec!
Hi, I’m Ellie Hornsey. I study Communication and Media and have been part of the club for the past two years. This year, I’ve been Social Secretary, where I’ve really enjoyed designing and managing the Instagram.
I’d love to apply for the role of Kit Secretary, as I’m confident in my ability to design creative, cohesive, and high-quality kit that represents the club well.

My Experience:
I have experience liaising with external partners, securing venues and drink deals, and attending meetings to collaborate on ideas. I’ve also designed and created a range of Instagram posts, with the account acting as a mini portfolio of my work and creativity.
These experiences translate well to the role of Kit Secretary, as they’ve developed my eye for design, attention to detail, and ability to work with suppliers to produce kit for the club.

What I could bring to the role:
I’d bring a mix of creativity and continuity to the role. I’d love to build on the jumpers our previous Kit Sec designed, while also introducing new ideas such as coats, overalls, or potentially Canterbury kit. I’m also keen to design a University of Leeds brooch that we could add to our show jackets when competing, helping to create a strong and recognisable identity.
In addition, I’d consider bringing back items like fleeces, as they were really popular and a great staple for members

Hi, I'm Hannah and I would like to be kit and sponsorship secretary next year. From joining the society in November, I have enjoyed many aspects of it, from making new friends to Mischief Wednesdays. Even though I don’t compete, my regular attendance to socials means that I am regularly engaging with other members, understanding what the society would want to wear e.g. joggers with LUUHRC across the bum. I’d love to design clothing that can be worn by social members too, therefore contributing to the inclusive environment and making every member feel special- just like I feel!
