BUCs Captain responsibilities:
Responsibilities are split between two available positions.
- Organising and run team trails and team selection
- Organising competitions and running home comps - ensuring availability of volunteer members to help run home comps
- Communicating with BUCS – submitting team lists, venue addresses and results – including all BUCS Play admin such as sending score sheets to BUCS coordinators.
- General preparation – order rosettes, printing all score sheets, calculating results.
- Staying updated with results to encourage regionals and national qualifications.
- Communicating with the development league.
- Knowledge of BUCS rules and communicate BUCS rules to team riders ensuring they are followed.
- Organises weekly trainings and tracks training attendance
- Confident in basic excel to track attendance and make checking payments easier
- Tracks payment vs spreadsheet via engage, overseen by Treasurer
- Liases with treasurer when paying invoices to check that the amount is correct
- Two BUCS captains working together to support each other
- Responsibilities are split equally amongst the two roles: for example one role focusing on organising and running home comps and another on team training and away comps.
Candidate requirements: Must have a BUCs Riding Membership.
