I’m running for Vice President of the BJJ Society because I bring both competitive experience and a genuine passion for the sport and the community around it. As a four-stripe white belt who competes regularly and has already achieved competition success, I understand the dedication it takes to improve and represent the club well. With my blue belt approaching and just over a year of consistent training, I’m still closely connected to the beginner experience while actively pushing toward higher levels.
Beyond the mats, I’ve held leadership roles throughout high school and college, where I’ve developed strong organizational and teamwork skills. I want to help create an environment where everyone—whether they’re brand new or experienced—feels motivated, supported, and has fun training.
As Vice President, I’d focus on strengthening team culture, encouraging competition participation, and making sure sessions stay engaging and inclusive. Most importantly, I want to help grow a club where people enjoy showing up, improving together, and building lasting friendships through BJJ.
