Hi, I’m Lara and I was secretary last year for BJJ and I really enjoyed it. Through observing and listening to members’ feedback throughout the year, if I’m elected as secretary for the next academic year, I aim to increase the amount of socials - something I will directly oversee as part of the job is to contact businesses - and try to improve member-committee communication. I will also aim to include member input a lot more, which will be easier as I know most of you! I think I’m qualified for this role because of my previous year-long experience which will only prepare me more for the next year. I’m also already aware of what is expected in terms of commitment so I will have more time to make sure members are happy and listened to. I would love to be secretary next year if you’ll have me :)
