Hi everyone,
My name is Bea, I’m part of the Pond Team and I’d love to be the wetland officer for the conservation society!
Being part of the pond team has been one of my favourite parts of the society so far. I’m excited to be a part of the wetland project and help ensure it succeeds for the benefit of wildlife and the local community. I also look forward to helping organise society events that are accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

I believe I’m suited to the role because I’m organised and consistently hardworking. I’ve worked in and helped lead conservation activities and group projects in school, my gap year and university, which has taught me how to work in a team, coordinate with multiple different parties at once, and lead meetings that help projects progress.
I’m always open to new ideas and creative solutions, and I want to help everyone in the society feel able to participate and have fun.

I’m also fascinated by pond ecosystems and my Ecology degree means I have strong foundational knowledge on how they function.
I believe I can help the wetland project succeed in the long term, and I’d love this chance to be part of the society in a new way. Thank you!
