Hello Members of SASHA, I am Faith Kankunda, SASHA’s current Equality and Diversity Officer.

Over the past year, I have witnessed firsthand the importance of financial responsibility in advocating for comprehensive sexual harassment policies and providing survivor-centered support services. That’s why I’m nominating myself for the role of treasurer.

As the Equality and Diversity Officer, I have tried to foster a culture of transparency, fairness, and respect. My aim was to promote diversity and representation not only in our leadership but also membership, and advocacy through the inclusivity statement used on our platforms, and research and create inclusive posts about sexual harassment affecting people of all backgrounds. This role has equipped me with the understanding and knowledge of the diverse need to improve accessibility to resources and bring down communication barriers.

As Treasurer, I will uphold the highest standards of financial responsibility, working tirelessly to manage our finances with integrity and efficiency. I will prioritize collaboration and open communication, actively engaging with committee and members to get feedback and ensure that our financial resources are allocated effectively and equitably.

I recognize the importance of financial management in supporting our advocacy efforts and empowering survivors. I am eager to bring my expertise in equality and diversity to the role of Treasurer. I will ensure our resources fund impactful initiatives, raise awareness, and educate prevention and campaign to optimise support on hand to create a safer and more inclusive campus.
