Hi, my name’s Safaa and I’m currently a 3rd year medical student.

I have really enjoyed being a part of the committee this year and attending LOGSOC’s events over the years and listening to some of the great talks has only furthered my interest in this specialty.

I feel passionate about obstetrics and gynaecology as a specialty and believe women’s health is an area that needs more attention.

I would like to apply for the role of treasurer, as I have great organisational skills and am confident in my ability to manage the financial aspect of the society. I am a reliable, dedicated, and trustworthy individual and work well with others. I would really look forward to continue working as part of a team of like-minded people with similar interests and believe I could bring some great ideas into the group, as well as promoting the society, and specialty as a whole! :)

For those of you who I have not met - my name is Luka and I am currently in 4th year.
I have been part of LOGSOC's wonderful committee for the past year in the position of 4th year coordinator which I have absolutely loved. I have always had a suspicion that Obs&Gynae might be for me, but after my GOSH placement back in September last year I know for sure, which is why I have so much enjoyed being on LOGSOC's committee this year and getting involved in all of the fantastic events that we organise. I thoroughly enjoyed my committee position this year but I would really appreciate the opportunity to take on a position with slightly more responsibility next year hence why I am applying for treasurer.
As I hope the current committee members and those of you that know me personally can attest to - I am enthusiastic, organised and always put 100% into anything I am involved in. I love to work as a team and hope that I am approachable and helpful if others come to me for help.
On top of these qualities which I hope will lend themselves well to being treasurer, I am also currently treasurer for the medics&dentists netball club which I - not very humbly - can say I have done a very good job at this year for a club with a rather large number of outgoings! I put this down to my organisation (I make lists for absolutely everything), forward planning for what things will cost throughout the year and setting aside money for these things.
Because of this I am sure I can do a good job as treasurer for LOGSOC, a society which I am passionate about and would love to be part of the running of next year.
