I’m applying to be Secretary because I want to support the Wine Society with clear communication, strong organisation, and consistent behind‑the‑scenes work. I’m organised, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing communication and logistics, which I know are essential to keeping events running smoothly.

I’m passionate about the society’s welcoming atmosphere and the way it brings people together to explore wine in an accessible way. If elected, I'll ensure that the society develops to allow our members to engage with the societies future event planning. I will work closely with outside venues to make sure that our socials remain fun, engaging and inclusive.

I’d be proud to serve as Secretary and help the society continue to grow.

Hi! I’m Grace, I’m a student going into second year and would love to be involved in leading wine society next year. Being a part of the society this year has been such a good time, I genuinely love meeting new people and wine society has been the perfect place to do that, sharing a common interest.
Wine has always been a personal interest of mine. I particularly love a good pinot grigio, I know it’s basic, but I also enjoy exploring new varieties and encouraging others to also expand their palettes.
Given the opportunity, I really want to expand the range of events the society offers. Tasting wines across the world, vineyard trips, blind tasting challenges and collaborations with other societies for social mixers are some of the things I have in mind. Regular, informal socials I think are also important to keep up a strong community within society. Doing a trip abroad is also something I would really push for to try wines somewhere more adventurously.
Being a current medical student, I’ve developed strong organizational skills and I’m confident this will translate into running the society effectively.
I’m really enthusiastic about bringing people together to create memorable events and introduce more into the world of wine. Gabby and I have been creating ideas from day one and really want to share our interest together with others.
