I’m excited to apply for Treasurer of the Muay Thai Society for the upcoming year. Since joining the club, Muay Thai has become a huge part of my university experience—whether it’s the training, the socials, or the energy that fills every session, it’s something I genuinely look forward to each week. I’d love the chance to give back to the society and help support its growth through strong financial management.

As a Business Management student with both academic and practical experiences in finance and accounting, I’m confident in my ability to handle the responsibilities of this role effectively. From budgeting and expense tracking to applying for funding and managing reimbursements, I have the skills needed to manage the society’s finances responsibly.

If elected, I’ll focus on:
- Keeping our budget accurate and up to date, so the committee and members
know exactly how money is being spent.
- Working to maximise value by keeping costs low while maintaining quality. That includes applying for funding, looking into potential sponsorships, finding ways to cut unnecessary costs and allocating funds more effectively.
- Making sure reimbursements and expenses are processed quickly and consistently, especially for things like competitions, events and socials.

While the Treasurer role might be more behind the scenes, it plays a big part in shaping everyone’s experience—whether you're new to the sport or preparing for your next interclub. I’ll work closely with the rest of the committee to ensure the society remains well-organised, welcoming and inclusive for all members.
