Hey everyone, I’m Iram and I am hoping to be one of your PALS3 co-leads next year! As a former PALS2 co-lead I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this truly beneficial society. I have worked hard in arranging teaching, organising timetables, and putting together practise papers for the second years, which has been really rewarding. I look forward in exercising my skills to make sure I can help upcoming third years in adjusting to the start of clinical years at university and providing the necessary teaching required. I have a passion for organising events that will help with osce prep, as well as creating high-yield resources for the core conditions list for third year. I am an extremely approachable person and I am always available for any help, advice or guidance! I hope you trust me with your vote!

After spending a year of being a PALS1 Co-Lead and a year of being the PALS communication officer, I've really enjoyed working as part of a team to help others.

I thoroughly enjoy organising and planning a range of events. As a PALS 1 Co-lead I helped organise events and collaborated with societies like Psyched to help deliver these events. I was also involved in attending meetings and making notes as part of the records. As a communication officer, I was able to further develop my communication skills and learnt how to change these depending on the audience. Communication and adaptability are key skills and something I can bring to the role of being a PALS 3 Co-Lead

Having been part of the PALS team for the past 2 years, I have enjoyed the opportunities PALS has bought in meeting other students and developing key leadership skills and confidence.

Overall, I'm an approachable individual and ready to lend a hand when needed. I found the last 2 year as part of PALS to be an amazing opportunity and look forward to helping develop PALS further in the following year. I hope to use this opportunity to give back to other students and support them.

Why Me?
Having a great support system is a vital component of getting through any year of medical school! I would love to be a part of a team that supports and guides other students. Teaching and sharing my knowledge is something I’ve always been passionate about. 3rd year can be a very challenging year due to its heavily clinical nature. Having done the year twice, I believe I have very good experience in what it takes to navigate yourself through the year and finish it successfully.

My Experience:
I’ve been a tutor and mentor for GCSE and A level students aspiring to be future medics for the past 3 years. I’ve also been able to start my own tutoring company along with other medical students, helping other students nationwide.

I believe I am experienced and a suitable candidate as the PALS3 co- lead and hope to make learning in year 3 enjoyable as well as efficient. I look forward to sharing my experience with fellow medics and brining lots of ideas whilst being part of a successful team!

Hi I'm Anika and I'm running to be one of the Year 3 co-leads for PALS this upcoming year ! As someone who is extremely passionate about medical education and has also taught a PALS2 session myself, I am delighted to be nominating myself for this role . I have developed my teaching skills over the last year by tutoring GCSE Maths and Sciences, an experience which has demonstrated my communication skills, time management and most importantly my passion for supporting students through their studies. I have also developed my presenting and public speaking skills through delivering talks on applying to medical school to prospective students from my sixth form, consecutively for the last 3 years .I believe these skills are paramount within teaching and this role would amplify these qualities . I hope to implement my skill set into PALS and it would be a great privilege to be apart of such an incredible initiative, thank you !

Through regular attendance of PALS sessions throughout the year, I am extremely keen and excited to join the team as PALS3 co-lead. I found PALS beneficial in helping me learn and understand various concepts as well as becoming more confident in examinations. I would like to give back to the society and ensure others are benefited in a similar way

My experience includes mentoring for In2Med school. This allowed me to strengthen my communication skills as well as learn how to provide information in a fun and digestible manner. Mentoring students was also a motivating opportunity for me. It allowed me to recognise the rewarding nature of teaching.

Getting ahead of content in third year as well as placement can be challenging. PALS sessions are an invaluable way to learn OSCE content as well as putting it into practice. Being part of the already amazing team would allow me to share my knowledge and give back to PALS.

If given the opportunity, I hope to demonstrate my ability to create exciting and interactive sessions including mock OSCE practice, clinical skills, and high yield information for the year 3 exams.

Hey everyone! I’m Sana and I’m very excited to be applying for the PALS3 co-lead position this year ❤️ The transition from 2nd year to 3rd year is HUGE and I hope to facilitate fellow society members by aiding them in their learning. I will implement an early focus on core conditions, pharmacology and special senses learning, later delving into OSCE practises and exam techniques/advice to help students be more confident in those topics. As a previous speciality representative for CuttingEdge, I believe i have the prior teaching experience to handle teaching sessions in interactive and creative ways.
