Hi, my name is Sahar. As first year rep, I have experience of working on the MSRC committee and understand the dedication and commitment required in this role. This year, I have worked alongside the current MUMS reps to organise the second MUMS event of the year (Summer Fair 2022 - a fun and inclusive event). I intend to use this experience and my organisational and teamworking skills to organise popular, inclusive events next year. I believe that the medic family system is crucial to settling in at the med school and will work hard to ensure everyone feels supported at university through their medic families. I will take this year's feedback into consideration when forming next year's medic families to ensure everyone is paired with the best suited medic parents and siblings. The MUMS scheme is an important part of the MBChB course and I hope to reflect that in the role of MUMS co-ordinator.

Hi,
I'm Fyodora and I have had a great experience with MUMS this year. My medic family played a crucial part in how well I settled in at university and would love to give others the same opportunity by allocating supportive medic families and organising fun events to enjoy together.

I want to make sure there is something for everyone when it comes to events and will work hard to ensure this. My previous experience in organising fundraising events and roles in various teams means I am aware of the what it takes and am dedicated to the role of MUMS co-ordinator.

P.S. Hi guys, I’m Numair and I am running for MUMS coordinator. As a first-year student, I have thoroughly benefited from my medic family, aiding my transition from school to uni. As established as the MUMS scheme currently is, I believe I can guide the scheme from strength to strength with more inclusive events so that it can cater for all first-years joining us in Leeds. Not only this, but more in-person events, inductions as well as having events throughout the year to further family bonding ;)
