Hey I’m Abraham! In the coming year, I would really love to be in charge of funding of a society, so I am running for Treasurer. I have had the pleasure of being a part of MSRC for 2 years, and I would really love to develop my skills and enhance my experience in taking an executive role within committee. Over my time in MSRC I’ve had my fair share of liaising with the medical school and putting forward student concerns and feedback which has brought real change in the curriculum and student wellbeing - with pushing the medical school to have more in person and improving interactivity within the course.

I am currently enjoying planning the MUMS Funfair event where I would complete budgeting and organising funds, inspiring me to excel in taking up the role. I understand as a treasurer you are responsible and distributing money for sub societies and overseeing the bank account especially challenging with MSRC overlooking many societies, yet I think I would be great at the position because I would work hard to ensure all the societies are adequately funded for and I am a quick learner. Outside of university I have been volunteering with collection count at my church for 5 years now and have garnered many transferable skills which I would use in dealing with the society’s finances and improving them.

Hi I’m Beth and I am the current treasurer of MSRC and would really love to be able to continue in this role.

I am really passionate about being apart of MSRC and I believe that as treasurer I can help to improve the funding for our sub-societies moving forwards. I hope to work closely with the sponsorship rep to increase the societies income to be able to improve everyone’s experience.

Having been treasurer over the last year I have gained an in depth understanding of the LUU system and I understand how to navigate and manage the finances of the account.

I am very organised and I can effectively manage my time to ensure I complete all tasks and ensure the accounts are kept up-to-date.

I believe that my dedication to this role will enable me to fulfil this position and ensure that the finances are well balanced.
