Hi everyone, my name is Berny and I would love to be an advocate for our year group by being your 2nd year representative! Previous student leadership roles mean that I have had experience with representing my year group and ensuring that their voices were heard. If elected, my aim is to ensure that our medical school is made better by addressing concerns held by our year group, such as striving for as close to full transport reimbursement for placement as possible.

Heyy everyone, my name is Gurleen and I would love to be your 2nd year rep! Previous roles have meant that I am comfortable liaising and co-ordinating with staff and students. I'm active on the group chat so will be up to date with any concerns you may have and look forward to advocating any feedback or changes, whether that be more communication/organisation or a better degree of hybrid lectures. Being a 1st year rep has allowed a positive impact on the learning experience of students, for example moving online teaching to a face-face approach.

Hi everyone, my name is Katherine and I would like to be your Year 2 MRSC Rep!
I am passionate about amplifying your voices to ensure that we continue to improve our experience of the course and get the most out of out time here at Leeds.
Having worked as vice president of medics society at my sixth form, I have experience in advocating for my fellow students, organising events and liaising with staff. For example helping organise an advice session for medical applicants and then convincing teachers for it to still go ahead despite the limitations of COVID.
I intend to use these skills to continue to strive for more in person teaching - including for I&P sessions - while also maintaining a hybrid approach for those who prefer online teaching. Also by welcoming all feedback on teaching and actively advocating for the changes that YOU want, to help bring about a more innovative and inclusive course that suits us all.

Hi, my name is Sahar and I want to continue my role as year rep next year as I believe in making positive changes in the medical school and helping our year group thrive. My experience as year 1 rep has shown me the dedication and commitment required in this role. I have been involved in organising events, such as the Summer Fair, providing an all-inclusive event for students. I have attended meetings with the module leads, representing the views of the year group and helping bring new changes to the way modules are run and will be run for future years. I intend to use this experience along with my outgoing personality to ensure a smooth running year, working as a team with the other year reps.
