Hello lads,

After an unforgettable year with the greatest blokes in Leeds (and William Dale), I look to next year and how I can give back to this beloved club. You may be wondering how a stupid little fresher can handle a role of this importance and what he may bring to it.

I can ensure that I have full confidence and comfort when communicating to both manufacturers and sponsors, which will enable me to portray the club’s needs when discussing different aspects of the kit e.g. price, sizing and different clothing pieces. I will make sure the kit is as affordable as possible (more money for beers) without compromising the quality to ensure we can all represent this great society.

Regarding the design of the kit, I will ensure that we are the most flair looking cricket team in every fixture and every training session because we all know that looking good equates to performing at the highest level which ultimately is the goal for the club. For these reasons I will ensure that the upmost care and attention to detail goes into the design of both the training and playing kit. I also will look to continue pushing our oddballs stash as I believe that is an area we can look to improve on as not only does it look very good but is also for a good cause.

I also hope to be a very approachable person who will provide sufficient help to any queries that may be had relating to the kit whether its sizing confusion, delivery time or anything else. I will also look to introduce new stash that people are interested in to make sure everyone is always wearing club gear.

Hello Lads,

As the year reaches to its end and we start to play cricket, I have come to reflect on what has been one of the best of my short life (although still longer than Knapman’s), I am looking to give back to a club that has given me so much. I hope to do this through the roll of Kit Sec over the next year.

Following on from the excellent job Winny has done over the past year, these are a few of the ideas I hope to implement if I get the role next year:

I hope to sort out some of the problems people have had with playing kit. This includes the shirts that have snagged, and the sizes of the playing trousers. I would also like to improve the quality of jumpers, which seem quite thin, as despite the warm weather at the moment, cricket in April and May has the opportunity to be extremely cold. I also hope to get an earlier order of the player caps/sunhats. It would be helpful to get suggestions on designs for playing kit.

I would like to improve on the range of casual gear, such as shorts and polo shirts, as these may be more appealing than the training kit to non-playing members, as well as making it available earlier in the year.

It is also important to me, that the popular items, such as the hats, budgies will remain to be available to everyone. I hope to be able to clarify any questions or queries about orders both prior to and after buying any stash. I believe with the club growing, this role remains key to the members being proud of the best club in Leeds.

Hello Lads,

It’s hard to believe this year is nearly coming to a close. LUUMCC has become such an important part of my life over the past year, and it’s safe to say it’s been the highlight of my Uni experience so far. I’ve loved every moment with this incredible club and the great blokes in it. That’s why I’m eager for the opportunity to give back. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank all the committee this year on the stellar job they have done.

As Kit Sec, I understand the importance of this role in ensuring the club remains flair and individual. I am fully committed to:

• Effective Communication - Working closely with the club and manufacturers to streamline the kit ordering process, ensuring everything is simple, quick, and efficient. I have exceptional organisational skills and am proficient in the use of Google Forms and Excel, and the confidence to communicate professionally and adequately with suppliers.

• Value for Money - Pushing to secure the best prices without compromising quality or style to make it easier for all of the club to tuck into socials and (especially) rollovers.

• Flair Designs - I would love our future stash and kit to truly reflect the clubs identity and make us stand out.

One of my key goals is to address the lack of visible “Leeds Cricket / UOLMCC” branding on our stash. I plan to:

• Invest more strongly in the Y1 order - ensuring it’s available in Semester 1 and really pushing the “Leeds Cricket” branded kit to keep the clubs individuality as I was aware there were some misconceptions and confusions regarding this years fleeces.

• Explore new stash items - such as custom club bucket hats and Boonies.

I’m also keen to open the floor to club members for stash suggestions, creating a more inclusive and collaborative approach to our designs and make a form for new ideas.

Additionally, I will continue supporting the club’s existing initiatives, such as the Oddballs order and the annual rollout of popular items like bobble hats. These pieces have become a staple of our identity, and I’ll ensure their continued availability.

I want to make sure LUUMCC is the best-looking club on campus—whether we’re in Terrace or at RPP, our stash will be unmatched in style and quality.

LUUMCC has given me so much, and I’d love the chance to contribute to its legacy as Kit Secretary.
