........... now that i've got your attention, let me introduce myself.

Hi, I'm Isaac and I'm running for Head of News.

I have participated in countless News projects this year and have enjoyed them all thoroughly. I have an interest in most areas of the station but I have found the News projects particularly engaging as they have dealt with very real and impactful issues, and conducting the research and work required for the projects is itself inherently rewarding.

I have a lot of ideas for the direction of LSTV News in the coming academic year, such as potentially trying out more shorter style bitesize news projects.

Whether I am elected or not I am looking forward to the new LSTV year and I am eager to help make news next year as successful as possible.

The start of the next academic year is going to have a big focus on the UK and the US general elections. In terms of the UK election I will try and interview as many politicians (from Leeds Central and Headingley) and party societies as possible to allow students to make the best informed choice at the general election.

But the next academic year isn't just about elections. Throughout the year I will make lots of short form content about things which are happening around campus.

I am a first year Journalism student, who has been a part of the LSTV family since September!
This year i have presented the Latest podcast, aswell as the weekend show Sunday Roast and my own weekly bulletin on LSR and been apart of the LSTV news group! The above shows have multiplied my passion to be a future broadcast Journalist and tell stories to whoever will listen!
