Who am I?
Hello everyone! I’m Haley - I am a 2nd year computer science student and your current station manager. I have adored my role this year so I am running for a second time!

Highlights
Here are some highlights over the last year:
* Won a bid to host the Student TV Choice Awards, a national-scale live broadcast!
* As a station, we sweeped 10 awards at NaSTA, including placing silver for Best Broadcaster of the Year
* Revamped the office by moving the rig, rearranging the gallery, and improving storage organisation for better accessibility
* Improved LUU relations, fostered ties with Activities and Events teams, giving us better opportunities, help, and some funding

Collaboration
Last year, my goal was to improve relations with LUU, which has been successful! This year, my goal is to improve relations and our reputation amongst students, societies, and other TV stations.
* Societies - Organise socials with other societies, especially smaller media societies/Backstage
* TV Stations - Collaborated with TorchTV and have connections with CUTV and CampusTV - I want to collaborate with more stations, especially within Yorkshire (YSTV, ForgeTV)
* Fruity.tv - Collaboration already in the works with LUU Events to have more content come out of the club night, which could open doors for more club collabs!

Upgrades
I’ve been in the process of sourcing grant money for the following upgrades:
Filmmaking
* Better camera - Blackmagic Design 4k Pocket Camera
* New portable film lights
Live + Commercial
* Continue set upgrades, including lights and decoration
* Semi-permanent setup in Riley’s/office
* More cameras of course

So many other things that don’t fit in a category...
* Continue prioritising creating an abundance of opportunities for new members
* Alumni Network - create an easier way for members to contact alumni after alumni weekend and host severalalumni/industry talks and masterclasses
* Update pricing structure and rates for commercial with relevant committee
* Create “packages” for purchase to make organising commercial projects easier for LSTV and customer
* Create diagrams for different setups in theatres
* Work with Head of Live to make producing live more accessible for all types of shows
* Work with Head of Tech & Training to create documentation on gallery and other tech
* Create documentation for committee roles and expectations to make it less daunting!
* One-on-one meetings with all committee to support in planning and training

I’m a current second year student that has spent the past two years as a member of LSTV. As Station Manager, I aim to maintain our high level of content, make an inventory of all our equipment, make the office and gallery easily navigable and tidy, and make sure that all members, new and old, feel welcome in the society and welcome to make whatever content they want.
