Hi I’m Emma and I’m applying for the position of Head of Commercial in LSTV. Firstly, I have gained some incredible knowledge and guidance from Daria the current head. She has been so helpful in every project and I wouldn’t have felt confident putting myself forward without her! I hope to continue her hard work and maintain the great connections between LSTV and a number of societies we have worked with in the past whether that be theatre shows, dance competitions etc. Whilst also forming new relationships with different organisations and communities outside of the union in Leeds. In order to achieve this I will research and create a calendar of all the events around the next semesters and try to engage new freshers or members who haven’t got the chance to experience commercial to work on showcasing these events! It is also key that commercial projects help funding for LSTV and so I will equally think about projects that can help bring in more revenue for our great society to upgrade in anyway it needs to!

Hi, I’m Olivia (more commonly known as Liv) and I’d love to be your next Head of Commercial! I’m a first year (soon to be second year) journalism student, which means that I’m always practicing the skills required of Head of Commercial, from developing my social skills with others (good for liaising with other societies on projects) and of course, using lots of different recording equipment to create quality content.

Hi! I’m Celeste, a Communication and Media student running for Head of Commercial. In this role, I aim to (obviously) make money to continue to fund LSTV’s operations, all while increasing connectivity to other societies and the wider Leeds community through commercial projects.

I also want to create more opportunities and experiences for members, particularly for freshers, through providing shadowing opportunities in different roles, more opportunities in Semester 1, continuing lstv.mp3 on LSR for those who want to try radio, and generally bringing in more projects and opportunities for members.

Furthermore, I want to strengthen the LSTV “brand” to enhance recognition to gain more opportunities, through collaborating with the head of marketing to create a stronger social media presence and collaborating with the head of design for merchandise.
