The role of swim secretary is responsible for booking and organising transport, meals and hotels for swimming events. Priority swimming events include short course, long course and team BUCS championships for performance squad. Additional events such as BUSL will also require transport booking. This role requires you to be highly organised, ensuring that hotels and meals are booked months in advance to ensure space is available for booking and costs are low. Effective communication with squad captains will also help you in this role, ensuring athlete numbers are correct as well as event timing/scheduling.
