The treasurer is responsible for looking after the club’s money, writing the budget for the following year and presenting the club’s finances at AGM. It’s essential to keep on top of the accounts, checking weekly statements, making payments etc. It’s important to make payments on time and be responsible with usage of club funds. Make use of union grants to the benefit of all members. Keeping to budget is a must. Negative accounts remain for the following years committee. The treasurer must keep on top of any communication and maintain a good relationship with the cash office at the union.
