Water polo captains have a responsibility for the running of training sessions for both the first and second teams, accommodating for a wide range of abilities (unless a coach is found). Awareness and knowledge of the game is essential, again not necessarily the best player but someone who knows the game. They should keep in close contact with the respective water polo secretary to organise fixtures, transport and then selecting the team for the games. Captains should be committed, friendly and approachable. To sort out coach transport to and from games, captains will need to fill out an online coach form that you should go and get the link to from the activities office before the season starts. Captains will need to print off both a BUCS generic team sheet for all matches both home and away as well as friendly matches at home.
