The media aspect of the role is one that runs throughout the whole academic year. This involves updating the official website, union page, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. Keeping the club’s profile in check is especially important around freshers’ fayre ensuring we have flyers/banners etc to ensure new members’ involvement. The secretary’s role also involves finding the club sponsors. Sponsorship is important for the club as it allows it to progress. Union grants and club revenue alone isn’t enough to be able to facilitate purchasing new equipment etc. Sponsorship related work would mostly be done before the start of the academic year.
