Hi, everyone! I'm Cara for those of you who don’t know me, I’m a 3rd year Psychology student currently doing a Research placement at BRI. I would absolutely love to be your Open Seat for LAMMPS! It has been so much fun getting to know LAMMPS as a society this year (from playing Mr D to being thrown into helping as the card machine lady at the choir bake sale) and I would be so excited to be able to give back as a member of committee.
What I would bring to the role:-I have an extensive knowledge of how the Union and committees for M&P societies work through my time as Secretary on MT's committee. This means I understand how to help out and take on other committee jobs when they feel overwhelmed.-Having been a Producer for both Made in Dagenham and 9 to 5 I would be able to support the show strand to pull off a (hopefully) even better show than the Lightning Thief. What I would like to do next year: -As the role of Open Seat is more open (haha) than most on committee I would love to act in a Welfare capacity for our members. For example, organising wellbeing events or open hours where people can just come and have a chat. I would love to be your Open Seat next year and help all the members of committee do their jobs even better than they already will!
