Dance Secretary

Hi, my name is Sewa, I’m a 2nd year medic and I am running for Dance Secretary! I have really enjoyed my first year of being a part of LAMMPS, and I think that being a part of committee would be a great way to give back to our society and help out. Being a part of the dance strand the past few months has been so fun for me especially as a more inexperienced dancer and I would love to be more involved in it next year. However, I can say with a lot of confidence that I would not be a good choreographer for this society (or any society tbh), which is why Dance Secretary would be perfect for me as it allows me to still get involved with the management of the strand whilst having a less choreography-heavy role and helping more with the admin side of things. I would be happy to do things like finding costumes for performances, helping the Dance Lead to organise dance sessions and help to promote any dance related events on social media. I feel like I’ve built good friendships with everyone in LAMMPS this year so if I was Dance Sec I would very feel comfortable about working effectively alongside the dance lead, as well as with everyone else in the committee as a whole regardless of who it may be. I also hope I can be seen as a friendly face that people can approach about anything from dance session suggestions to even more personal queries to try and help improve their time in LAMMPS in any way possible. It would be amazing to be given the opportunity to have this role and contribute to the amazing stuff done in this society so feel free to vote :)))
