My name is Zak and I am applying for the role of publicity officer. I have condensed the reasoning, as to why I should be a publicity officer, into three more 'fun' bullet points:

- I am pretty competent with social media, even if I have accidentally posted a mugshot or two
- From the design of this wonderful poster, you can already tell I am at least mediocre at poster design
- I am more than happy to ambush people with show promotion

But in all seriousness, I am really passionate about musical theatre and I would love to be on this committee, in whatever way I can. Not only have I been welcomed in to make wonderful friends, but we also have a beautifully diverse group in every way, and there's no other group of people I'd rather be stuck with on a Saturday. I will always be grateful for having such a safe LGBTQ space at univeristy (personally) and I hope, on the committee, we continue to welcome in more individuals and make it their safe space too!

Having been a part of LAMMPS for the past 3 years, I've seen how our media presence ebbs and flows, and with this year having finally made a bit more of a name for ourselves, you can see that in our social media interactions. I'm really passionate and dedicated to ensuring that LAMMPS continues to grow our audience by remaining active on social media throughout the year, even when we don't have a huge amount going on, as I've seen how our audience grew the more we posted. As secretary, I've had access to the LAMMPS social media accounts this year, and have been involved in posting both to our stories and on the feed. I really want to make sure LAMMPS continues to put our best foot forward and promote the hell out of this fab society.
