A lil bit about me:

- Hi everyone! I’m Grace, I’m a first year and I have loved my Spanish and History course so far.
- I am a very social and creative person, and would love to help project the image of the society online as fun and engaging academically and socially as i find it.
- Last year I solo travelled South America including Brazil and Argentina, so I feel very connected to the culture, and thus inspired to be a part of celebrating these cultures.
- I love attending salsa classes and would love to do a collaboration with salsa soc.

Manifesto:

- Record and post all the fun we have at socials
- Post questionnaires that are latin/spanish related
- Build a tiktok page to help capture the essence of our society


I believe slapsoc is an amazing forum that can unite all Spanish and Portuguese students. i believe we can help make it even better by promoting it in a fun, artistic manner that encourages more people to join and share in our small community here at Leeds!

Hello everyone! My name is Brandon and I am a Spanish and International Relations student currently studying abroad in Murcia, Spain, interested in becoming your Publicity Secretary for the 2025/26 year!
I have decided to run for this role for various reasons. I began studying Spanish at the start of university from ab initio level, so it has been such a unique but rewarding experience learning about the Spanish language, culture and history, so to be able to become a part of a society centred around these themes is amazing. It would also be interesting to learn about other Latin American and Portuguese cultures and to overall meet new people! During second year, I co-hosted a LSR radio show/podcast (@frenemyfiles on instagram, we are also on Spotify under the LSR profile - don't mind the cheeky promo lol) where I had a sort of "communications" role between the two of us for our social media page. I was able to engage with our followers, whether it was informing about certain airtimes or just overall receiving feedback and design and create fun posts and our 'famous' logo. Doing this again would be such an amazing opportunity!
I am an efficient communicator and you can count on me to bring you up to date with any announcements or news regarding SLAPsoc activities and events, and I know that if selected for this role, that I would enjoy every single bit of it.
