I think I would make a great MSRC year 1 representative for three simple reasons.

Number 1: I am a super approachable person, who is always smiling and waving at everyone. You would never be afraid to come to me with any concerns or suggestions.

Number 2: I am a great listener. This means that I will be immensely keen on listening to whatever it is you have to say.

Lastly, I am well-organised. Your concerns and feedback will not get lost in the crowd. It will instead be frantically jotted down and acted upon. There you have it, three clear-cut reasons why I should be your MSRC year 1 representative.

Throughout Year 1, I would like to act as your advocate and address any issues you may have.

I think that no two people are same and that everyone experiences highs and lows in life. When life catches up with you, I want to make sure you're still inspired and motivated, and the Univeristy is doing all it can to support you.

I hope to represent the 283 of you in the same way I did for my peers in Gateway. I have the experience and knowhow of addressing and raising issues in Course Management Team meetings. So vote for me for a positive, fun and safe environment!

I am interested in running for Year 1 Rep because I want to make sure the views of everyone in our year group are heard. In such a big place surrounded by so many people it can feel easy to blend into the background, but I will ensure no one feels invisible. Every opinion matters. Whether it’s big or small, question or query, improvement or complaint, I will work with the other reps to make certain every concern is considered in the meetings.
I want to help and get to know as many of you as possible so I can contribute to making this a collaborative and safe environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing their views and feelings (and hopefully to have some fun along the way too!)

Hello, I'm Lizzie, a first year medical school student. I am running because I believe that education and the course is at the heart of what makes a good doctor and I want to be the best doctor I can be. For this reason I want to run and make positive differences to the course to benefit me and my classmates. The work is already very difficult and hard to learn so anything I can do to make it easier to learn and remember, I will. The plans I have for this role include voicing any concerns people have, whether they’ve told me or voiced it on a group chat, I’m here to listen and help. I will also make sure the concerns are listened to and acted upon, as I am on the course I will know if they have changed it to improve it for the better. Having already done the gateway year last year allowed me to have good insight into university life.
