Hey! I’m Freddie and I am running for treasurer for the Judo society next year. I have been doing martial arts for over 7 years and first started Judo at the beginning of this academic year. Although I spent less time doing Judo over this winter term to dedicate myself to train and compete in Muay Thai, I can now bring that determination back to Judo. I believe I would be a good candidate for treasurer because of my previous experience organising and managing finances for fundraising events in my Sixth Form. If I were elected as the future treasurer of the Judo society, I would use the role to its fullest to help the society grow and thrive. I would ensure money is carefully allocated to cover both social and fighting opportunities for everyone to get the most out of the society.

Hello fellow Judo-ers,

Buckle your seatbelts ladies and gentlemen and prepare for the most sublime comittee application you shall ever read. Although I only started Judo this year, I think its pretty epic and so is the club here at Leeds. My goal as treasurer would be to work with the other comittee members to continue to provide excellent Judo at Leeds uni.

To be honest, as far as my financial experience goes, its pretty much non-existant. However, if the lovely people of the judo society DO elect me as treasurer (which i very much hope they do!) then I will work dilligently to be the best treasurer Leeds university has ever seen (no hyperbole there AT ALL).

Tbh i didn't really know what to write for this so i delved deep into my memory banks to dig up anything i remembered from that one GCSE english class on persuasive writing.
