Ciara Aveyard - Web and Publicity Officer

Hi!! My name is Ciara and next year I will be a second year solicitor degree-apprentice student.

As a young person in growing up in Leeds, I have been a part of the Leeds Youth Council and have completed work experience with the Leeds Youth Voice team, both roles involving publicising political campaigns and organising outreach events to increase engagement. Through my role as a youth councillor, I campaigned for climate change action, better mental health support and better transport in Leeds, campaigns which have impacted council policy. I have played an active part in grass roots politics in my local ward of Alwoodley in Leeds as a Youth Officer and have developed good relationships with councillors and other young labour activists across the city, both students and non-students.

I am passionate about promoting the values of the Labour party and increasing our impact as a society. As Web and Publicity officer, I would use this platform to achieve those aims and endeavour to increase student awareness of our campaigns and membership.
