Hi everyone,

The academic year is coming to an end, and along with it comes the event of the year - the ArcSoc election! The current committee still has a few months left, whilst our heads are buried in Design Studio 4.2, but our time is coming to an end, as all great things do, and the handover of ArcSoc must begin.

Everyone is welcome to run, and we would encourage students from all years to consider running. Having committee members from second, third and fourth year is something that we feel would really benefit the society in the future.

As a reminder, the committee decided to completely remove the membership fee, so if you want to run, but don't have a membership… well, now you can definitely get a membership and run.

We appreciate this is busy time of year for all years, but the election period is long, and we aren't expecting people to run big campaigns - just tell us who you are and what you want to do with ArcSoc.

You have until the 12th of May to nominate yourselves, and you will then have until the 26th of May to vote, when we will announce the results shortly afterwards. Roles available are President, Secretary, Treasurer, Social Sec, and Communications sec.

Finally, as one of the last things ArcSoc will do this year, we are hoping to help run the end of year show. We think this would be a great opportunity to start the handover in June, having the current and future committee working together.
