The role of president, first and foremost, is dependent on good organisation and people management skills. Your tasks will include:
- Having a vision for your time as president. What do you want your committee to achieve this year, and how are you going to achieve it?
- Delegating tasks to other committee members (you can't do it all)
- Responding to a high volume of important emails - it is key to do this in a prompt manner
- Organising a weekly agenda for committee members to ensure that something is always being organised
- Having the final say on important decisions concerning the society
- Liaising with important people within the Law School and other societies - this includes meetings
