Beginner Recreational Captain

We are tremendously excited to have the opportunity to run for beginner recreational captains in 2022/23, we are both going into our second year at Leeds (Conor studying Geography with Transport Studies, Patrick studying Physics) and began rowing in the beginner squad at the start of the year, making the move up to performance in January as rowing made up a considerable part of our life. The only thing better than our commitment to training is our commitment to socials, having become recognisable and friendly faces around the boathouse in our short time here. Our biggest aim is to build upon this trend next year allowing us to create a squad that has a relaxed, friendly environment where anyone who wants to give rowing a go can, just like we did. The current beginner’s squad has allowed us to make close friends of various ages, courses and backgrounds and we hope to continue this by placing more emphasis on getting beginners to socials and increasing integration amongst all squads within the club.
