Hi my name is Rachel, a first year medical student rowing on the beginner performance squad. I have previous experience captaining sports teams in the past as a rink hockey player before uni and am looking forwards to applying what I learnt in that role and bringing it to this.
Hi my name is Izzi, I am a first year geology student and this is my second year at Leeds. I am in the beginner performance squad this year and hope to be on the senior racing squad next year. I am an encouraging and friendly person who is very passionate and committed to rowing.

Our manifesto prioritises encouraging rowers to socialise together to form a close knit community designed to hopefully boost retaining rates. We want to have a constant stream of communication with our rowers so that they feel we are accessible and that they are able to talk to us if ever they have a question or doubt about something. All this is focused around 4 main aims: Retaining members, Boosting Squad Community, Being involved and supportive to rowers as captains, and performing well at events such as BUCS and WEHoRR/HoRR.
