Hi, my name is Verity. I'd like to be a PALS co-lead to help support new students with the big transition to medical school. As someone who did a gap year and is a widening participation student, I know how hard it can be to adapt to a new way of learning and the amount of content. I also have experience with teaching having been a training officer for another society and volunteering as a demonstrator for St John Ambulance. I'd love to work with the other members of PALS to provide great revision and learning for the next year 1.

Hi, my name is Sienna and I would like to put myself forward for the role of PALS 1 Co-Lead. Having just finished Yr1, I can appreciate how difficult the transition from A-level to Yr1 can be. From learning vast amounts of content to adjusting to a completely new environment, it can be quite challenging to balance it all. However, in my experience, PALS has provided amazing teaching, revision and Q&A sessions which help to ease the progression into higher education and reinforce learning. With past experience in teaching students, I have the intention to stand as a representative for you to direct the way you learn and provide valuable input to develop sessions with the team to accommodate your learning needs. I hope that I can have the opportunity to bring variety and creativity into sessions by collaborating with the other co-leads and the year to guide the sessions that PALS hosts. Hi, my name is Gurleen and I'm applying for the role of PALS1 co-lead. I have really appreciated all of the sessions that PALS had put on for us in the past year, especially since the transition into how to work at university is a difficult one and I'd love to be able to help the next year through this. I have past experience in tutoring and organising sessions for aspiring medics in my old college. I'd like to be able to work with the other academic societies and make the year even slightly easier if we can :)

Hi! I'm Harry and I've just finished my first year studying medicine in Leeds. After having used PALS revision support throughout the year, I am keen to contribute to the supportive community that this society has established. Through this role, I hope to provide creative ideas to support the needs of first year students as well as being a friendly face to anyone that needs encouragement or assistance. I hope that my experience in the field of teaching coupled with my upbeat personality will enable me to make a positive impact with the first year students. Above all, I look forward to giving back to the nurturing environment that I gained so much from in my first year!
