After spending a year of being a PALS1 Co-lead, I've really enjoyed working as part of a team to help others.

I thoroughly enjoy organising and planning a range of events. Over the past year I have helped organise events for PALS and have collaborated with societies like Psyched to help deliver these events. In regards to organising the events this also involved attending meetings and making notes as part of the records. This is a key skill in being a communications officer and something I am able to offer.

Being a part of PALS and an LUU student rep has given me the chance to develop my communication skills and my confidence further, such as when interacting with the first year students and gathering different types of feedback. Having developed these skills last year, I feel they will enable me to do a good job as the communications officer this year.

Aside from this, I also enjoy digital art and design. These skills would enable me to make posters and manage the social media accounts to ensure the events are adequately advertised to the students. Over the past year I have also helped manage the social media account and answer any relevant queries or redirected them to the correct individual.

Overall, I'm an approachable individual and ready to lend a hand when needed. I found last year as the PALS1 Co-lead to be an amazing opportunity and look forward to helping develop PALS further in the following year.
