Research Director
RESEARCH DIRECTOR
OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS IN ALL YEARS
ELECTS 1 STUDENT TO ROLE
Takes lead on ‘Research and Innovation’. This position has proved to be very successful and will be responsible for motivating and guiding members to actively engage in research and clinical audits. The Research Director will strive to improve student’s knowledge about accessing surgical research opportunities, for example via our newly established newsletter. There are opportunities to develop a ‘Medical Student Surgical Research Network’, organise ‘Hackathon’ style events, and coordinate research specific teaching sessions. There are several opportunities for the Research Director to collaborate with other committee members to design new events and initiatives for our members.
