I am nominating myself for Vice President as, as the incumbent Treasurer and Social Sec, I am well placed for the role and it is a natural progression. Being a part of core committee this year, I understand how the society works and have helped oversee the transformation of the club this year and have been integral to all of its successes including but not limited to; taking the club from £-600 to a positive while still subsiding your fees, helping organise huge events such as BUCS, internal and awards night, and recruiting members at the Welcome Fair. I am well versed in communicating effectively with my fellow committee members and the various branches of the university including activities and also external organisations such as BUCS.
Additionally I have built great friendships within the club and if any new members were elected to the committee alongside me, it would be my absolute pleasure to aid them in their learning of how the committee works and would lead to a smooth transition between the committees.
I care about this club so much and it has become a huge part of my life and if you will afford me the opportunity to continue my involvement in the committee, I promise to take the club even further. I hope you will consider giving me your vote.
