Hi, my name’s Amro, a 5th year medical student looking to run for the role of clinical years clinical rep. As a final year student and a Biomedical Sciences graduate, I bring a unique perspective to the role in integrating both post-graduate and clinical experience developed in the last 5 years.

Through my previous role as treasurer of EndoSoc, I am particularly passionate about creating revision sessions, mock OSCEs, and clinical teaching workshops that are accessible and beneficial to students at different levels of training.

Additionally, from organising a 4-week elective in Brisbane, Australia with the trauma and orthopaedic surgery department, I understand the stress of preparing for electives. As a result, I would be keen on hosting elective talks to guide students on organising and funding their electives.

If elected, I plan to work closely with the wider committee and other clinical reps to ensure we offer engaging and useful events that promote surgery and clinical skills across all year groups. Thanks for your support!

Hi, I’m Hollie a 5th year. I would like to stand for the position of 5th year rep, as I am highly interested in surgery and hope to pursue a surgical career in the future.
Being in my final year, I believe I have the knowledge to be able to help younger years such as OSCE tips and how to get research opportunities. Additionally, I have a lot of knowledge surrounding intercalation, which I gained an MSc in Clinical Anatomy and Education, and therefore could be of benefit in helping to run anatomy revision sessions to pre-clinical years. I have experience of teamwork at university through my roles in MedSoc, such as organising large events e.g. cocktail party. If I am elected, I look forward to working with the other clinical years reps and the whole committee in organising events and promoting surgery!
