Hi, my name is Ethan Jones and I'm a first year nursing student at Leeds. I'm really enjoying the course so far, not only the academic side of the course but also getting to talk to all my peers. I'm really passionate about building the nursing society: gaining new members, hosting more activities, and ensuring that nursing students have a place to go to have fun and support one another. I believe it is especially key that nursing students have a place to go for fun and support, due to our uniquely challenging degree; which students doing other degrees may not understand. I have had previous leadership and team working experiences in a number of extracurricular activities. Therefore, I know what it takes to work collaboratively, work time effectively, and help both lead and work a team ensuring everyone has a voice. Hi, I’m a first year child nursing student running for Vice President!

I have experience in volunteering and leadership positions such as being the Treasurer for my college’s charity fundraising society so I know what it takes to be a committee member. I’d love the opportunity to be able to support the other committee members as well as other nursing students!

If elected, I’d like to:
- work with the social sec to hold frequent and varied socials to get more students involved in the society
- more social and academic support for students on placement
- implement a student suggestion form to be reviewed regularly
