Hi Leeds Labour Society, my name is Rudi Rannabugardie, I'm a first year politics student and I'm running to be Freshers Officer. As Freshers Officer, I would prioritise bettering communication between first years and the committee, in order to create a more close-knit society. I've been a Labour member for a while now, and have really enjoyed my time at Leeds so far, especially being a member of the Labour society. As Freshers Officer, I'd want to utilise my part in the committee to help first years have a say in the society's activities, from social events to recommending talks or campaigning areas. There are already so many first years in this society, and being voted for the role of Freshers Officer would be perfect so I could help get even more people involved in the society.
