Hello everyone!

As most of you will know, my name is Luke Hayes and I am running to be President of our amazing society. I’ll hopefully be starting my masters in September after completing my 3 year undergraduate degree in Accounting & Finance.

Having been a part of this incredible community since its inception and serving as the Social Secretary for the past year, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the passion and camaraderie that defines our society. I am immensely proud of the progress it has made in just two years and I am extremely excited for what the future has in store!

Throughout my tenure as Social Secretary, I have made it my mission to build strong relationships with our members, listening attentively to their feedback and ideas. By actively participating in sessions, socials, and tournaments, I have gained invaluable insights into what our members truly value and desire from their Padel experience. I believe this first hand experience has equipped me with the necessary knowledge and empathy to lead our society effectively, ensuring the needs and aspirations of our members remains at the forefront of our agenda.

My experience as Social Secretary has involved;

Attending every social throughout the year, being a familiar face and point of contact

Ensuring all sessions and tournaments are run smoothly

Organising our easter tour to Nottingham and our collaboration with Nottingham Trent University

Working with an amazing committee to secure our deal at Chapel Allerton and managing the everyday requirements of running the society

As a longstanding member of the society, I have a deep-rooted appreciation for what makes it thrive. From the exciting moments on the court to the unforgettable moments shared off it, I understand what makes our society tick and what members want for their money.

Drawing on my experiences and insights gained over the past two years, I am committed to preserving and enhancing the spirit of inclusivity, camaraderie, and excellence our society is built upon.

My promises if elected;

To continue the amazing journey our society has already made and growing the society further, ensuring everyone has access to sessions, socials and tournaments.

More events, tournaments and trips following the success of Nottingham tour I would love to see us host and visit more universities as Padel grows across the world

Ensuring the rest of the committee have all the resources and support they need to fulfil their roles and work tirelessly to keep everything on track

Providing the best opportunities and experiences in what promises to be another exciting and memorable year for the best society around!

Being a part of this society has been the highlight of my university experience and I have met some of the loveliest people on this journey. The chance to work with you all for another year fills me with great excitement and I am determined to try and give you all the same enjoyment, fulfilment and amazing memories of a lifetime that I have made.

This society wouldn’t be what it is without you all and I want to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you for making this the best year and whether elected or not I look forward to another fantastic year filled with lots of exciting things in store, so here’s to an amazing year ahead with some amazing people and of course amazing Padel!

My name is Aimee and this is my run for padel president, 🫶
This is my final year before I become a medical resident 🩺
This past year I have been the social media sec,
making sure to keep insta and everything else in check 📲
I have had the privilege of taking all your photos and capturing so many memories, 📸
as well as being the on court first aider with limited remedies ⛑️
I would love to be your president to continue all the work I’ve done this year, 🏋️‍♀️
I got our first sponsor, arranged a tour and have stepped up in my padel mummy career👩‍👧‍👦

I will make sure to improve our training sessions and find the best padel locations, 🎾 arrange more competitive uni matches and build inter-uni padel society relations 🏆
I am determined to get us abroad on a padel vacation, 🏝️
and take Leeds padel across different nations🛫
I may not have managed to convince BUCS to start padel competitions, 🏅
but I will ensure our padel tournaments remain a tradition. 🏟️

I may not make it every single social being an OAP, 👵
But when I do I’m on good form and that’s a guarantee.
I’m always on hand to save our silly freshers necking bottles of wine, 🍷
before they’ve even had anytime to sit down and dine. 🍽️
And I’ll be the one at tournaments bringing the baking, 🍪
when our players are on court with the win in the making (somewhat at the Otro tournament…) 🥇

I have loved being a member of committee this year,
And really hope to continue to make this club top tier.
Our members are some of the loveliest people I’ve got to meet, 💖
You have all made my heart complete. 🫶
So I would love if you would vote for me,

Leeds padel is my favourite little family,
