Hi all, I’m Eve and I’m running for lessons organiser this year. I joined the society in January and so you might have met me before while helping out at home comps, riding in lessons or in dress-up at socials! I have been riding and around horses since I was seven, helping out and then working at my old yard up until I was sixteen. I love jumping and XC (despite the many times I have been thrown off) and this society has been a lovely way to get back into riding after my two year hiatus.

Skills and attributes I can contribute:

- I helped out at a riding school from 11-16 years old and I am well acquainted with how lessons and yards operate
- I had a job at a riding school when I was 16: working in admin, booking lessons, dealing with customers and payments, and teaching beginner lessons
- I am patient and willing to answer queries surrounding lessons and I’m familiar with a customer service job

My current aims:

- Find an easier alternative to lounge for booking lessons
- Create a penal system for society members who continuously don’t show up for lessons, making it fairer for those who are committed to attending
- Have more established skills levels, working with the yard to separate beginner, intermediate and advanced riders for an overall more enjoyable lesson experience

As someone who rides myself, I understand the importance of getting the most out of a lesson and feeling challenged in order to improve. Therefore, I would love to have the opportunity to enhance the experience of the sport that this society was built on!
