Hi everyone, I’m Lucy and I am running again for 2025-2026 Treasurer. Having taken over the role in 2024, it was pretty difficult to balance prices with the cost of everything increasing! However with helping move the club for the first time in nearly 10 years to a new yard to cut prices for training and ensure higher quality lessons, I am hoping I can build on this years work in keeping costs as low as possible for 2024-2025!



My current plans are to:

- reduce yearly membership fees, which will encourage more members, allowing for a larger club
- keep training prices consistent throughout the year
- Push for more gryphon funding to achieve the above
- Invest in more equipment for BUCS (new stocks, body protectors etc) on top of new equipment already bought this year
- Direct more money into socials


Achievements this year:

- From January, lessons prices are the lowest they have ever been
restored savings to allow for reinvestment in the club
- Given the highest funding to socials ever, including extra to bar tabs, food and drink
- Reduced transport fees for training, also ensuring that the transport is comfortable and on time
- Achieved Christie Cup funding, saving £700
- Keeping a closer eye on payments, ensuring the rules are applied consistently throughout the club to avoid a black hole in payments at the end of the year
- Membership fees refunded for those whose commitments have changed
- Reimbursing drivers a minimum of £0.45p a mile for home/away comps - higher than any club!
- Expenses approved the same day they are submitted, reducing the time you are waiting for payment


Having been on committee for a year and being heavily involved in all aspects of the club, I know exactly what funding needs to be allocated where to the club. I would love to continue next year!
