ABOUT ME
If you were to find me anywhere, it would be where there are animals. On campus, i’ll be with the bunnies, my favourite animal. I’m planning to study for a PhD, so you better get used to me, as i’ll be here for a while…

I first started riding at only a few years old; my Auntie Isabel owned a pony, Smartie. I was introduced to lessons at 7, but this ended after I almost fell and could no longer afford to continue my dream. I aspire to get to competition level and make my two heavenly angels proud.

WHAT I CAN BRING
Hopefully, you have all seen that I’m a friendly face with a lot of passion for making others feel comfortable. I pride myself on being approachable, as I love getting to know new people. It’s important to me to maintain the supportive and lively atmosphere which currently exists.

Skillswise, I excel as a highly organised individual, even down to my emails, who deals well with responsibility. I love using media as a way of artistic expression, with my experience in digital art and design, I believe this will have a promotional advantage.

In particular, I’d like to contribute more to sober socials. Currently, I have a list of 20 activities that may be possible next year. From brunch to evening meals, late night movies and pizza, wellbeing day trips to nature reserves, and the occasional visit to a nearby city. I’m also eager to plan some hikes and casual sports such as netball and badminton. Cat cafés and karaoke are also a must for me. I want to ensure that our socials are inclusive and accessible to all members, while also retaining a cheeky bit of clubbing every week.

I can only wish to be on the committee next year because I just love you all so much, this society feels like a family away from home to me x

I believe I would be a good candidate for the social exec role because I am an outgoing person who loves to socialise! This year I have attended 14 of the Wednesday's socials and have participated in many of the sober socials too. As you can see, you can trust me to commit to the role and deliver a weekly social for you all to enjoy next year. If I was to be elected for the role I would ensure wednesday socials were to run weekly and add more sober socials for those who want to make friends but do not enjoy drinking culture. One of my ideas would be to book a union room and have a weekly colouring in session to relax from the week and have a catchup with friends (this would hopefully be free).

Why me?
Personally, this society has helped me get through first year. Friendship is such a key aspect of uni life, looking out for each other and making the most memories possible is very important to me. Id like to make the socials even more exciting, eg more games, fun punishments (To a certain degree obvs), and extra external activities. Although Wednesdays are fun, its very easy to lose yourself at uni, and id like to make sure all members of the society are making the most of there time in Leeds during and outside of social hours, keeping in touch and checking on the members individually, as well as hopefully being somebody you would reach out to if you ever needed anything or somebody to talk to.
