Hello!
My name is Aimee Evans, a 20 year old studying Business Management and the Human Resource who enjoys horse riding, travelling, £2 tequila shots from Dry Dock and the role I am running for is President!

I’ve been riding for many years and thoroughly enjoy engaging in weekly lessons at the local yard riding Toffee (where we may have even done a few lessons together!). By getting involved in horse riding lessons I understand how important it is to build trust within any team and of course with the horses.

You’ve likely seen me at our socials (especially mischief due to my 98% attendance). I'm always eager to get involved in activities and socialising with new and current members of the society. I have a high regard for being an approachable and inclusive leader who is of course always open to hearing members' ideas and feedback!

I have much familiarity with leadership roles including being a supervisor in a cafe for over 3 years in which I developed my communication, organisation and team management skills. I’m also a course student representative that allows me to frequently communicate between the business school and its students. Thanks to these experiences I have learned to be a supportive leader who takes initiative.

As President, I will use my strong dedication to develop a welcoming and fun environment where other students feel enticed to join. I will also work to provide more opportunities for members and collaborate alongside the committee and LUU to guarantee the smooth running and growth of the society!

I am delighted to have this opportunity to run for President and bring my passion for horse riding and leadership into another successful year. I hope I’ve been able to show you why I would be a great candidate for this role.

Hi everyone! Next year will be my fourth year in the society, and hopefully my second year in committee. As your lessons organiser this year, I've made sure lessons run smoothly and am especially proud of the club's move to our lovely new yard, TLE. I'm excited to run for president, so we can build on this year's momentum and continue improving LUUHRC with what I'm hoping will be a very strong committee. This club has given me so much, and as President next year, I will work hard to give back!

Hi everyone!

I’m Belle and I would love to be your president next year. New members this year may not know me as I am currently completing a Year in Industry, but I have been a part of the society for two years - my first year being spent on lessons followed by a year on teams. This has provided me with a great understanding of how the club runs including BUCS competitions. I have loved getting involved in all aspects of the society and wish to continue this next year while supporting fellow committee members to bring exciting events and opportunities to the club, continuing to build on the fantastic work of our current committee.
I pride myself in being extremely approachable and friendly, and have loved making friends across the society over the past few years. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in September and welcoming new members to the society!

Skills:
- While on placement this year I’ve organised various meetings and participated in board meetings where I have taken minutes to ensure decisions and actions are made and noted accordingly, which will be important for committee meetings.
- Previously, I have worked at a horse riding centre and have experience in customer service and communicating with riders of all abilities. I will work closely with our riding centre, TLE, to provide quality lessons, training and activities to accommodate all riders.
- I have experience working with survey forms, which will be useful to receive formal feedback from our members, share any ideas or to address any concerns.

Overall, my vision for the society is to create an inclusive, supportive and fun environment where every member feels welcomed and valued.
