The Social Secretaries of English Society are expected to organise regular events that bring members together and give them a chance to meet one another. They work together to plan a range of activities that cater to different interests, e.g. quiz nights, club nights, bowling etc. This planning may involve creating tickets for events on Engage and communicating with club reps and venues to secure society deals throughout the year. Along with the other members of the committee, they are expected to be in attendance at the socials in order to oversee the safety and well-being of members and to make sure that everyone is having fun. The Social Secs also help spread the word about events through group chats and they coordinate promotion with the Social Media Sec.
