The main responsibility for Publicity Officer is writing the weekly English Society email that goes out every Sunday and replying to all English Society emails. This is a brilliant opportunity to build a sense of community within English Society and contact members directly. Adding your own flair to the email can be a lot of fun, the goal is to engage members and share exciting upcoming Eng Soc and Leeds-based events.

Your duties will also include working with the Social Media Secretary to publicise English Society information and work with relevant organisations on publicity items.

The role also includes liaising with the School of English to promote initiatives and events within the School and liaise with them to facilitate English Society events such as the weekly Eng Soc Teas.

The elected Publicity Officer will receive support from the LUU as well as being able to consult the previous position holder’s handover document detailing further role guidance.
