I have applied for the Medics Representative position because I have really enjoyed being part of the LMDBC team this year- everyone I have met has been so welcoming and I have loved every session! I really want others to have the same experience I have and think I could give back to the club by encouraging a supportive environment for all players.

As someone who is passionate about badminton, I am committed to igniting the same enthusiasm among our fellow medics here at the University of Leeds. As the medics’ representative, I understand the importance of effective communication and collaboration between LMDBC and the medicine-related societies at the University. Therefore, I will serve as a liaison between these societies, ensuring that the interests and needs of our medics, when it comes to badminton are heard and addressed, with the hope of driving more medics to pursue badminton whether that’s for fun or with the aim of competing. I will work closely with the medical society to coordinate events, promote participation, and create opportunities for collaboration and engagement between LMDBC and the athletic medical community that we have at Leeds. Furthermore, I will work towards creating a welcoming space for all medics, regardless of their skill level or experience, and encourage a spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and teamwork. I will actively seek input and feedback from fellow medics to ensure that their voices are heard and considered in club decisions and activities. In addition to my passion for badminton, I bring strong organizational and leadership skills to the role of a ‘medics representative’. I am confident in my ability to manage schedules, coordinate events, and effectively communicate with both the club and the medical society. I will work diligently to ensure that the medics' interests are represented and that the badminton club continues to thrive as an integral part of the medical community at the University. I am excited about the opportunity to serve as the medics’ representative for LMDBC and contribute towards building a strong and inclusive community.
