experience in graphic and artistic design, i am very confident in social media and managing accounts! as 2023/4 head of weekend for lsr i am also experienced in being an active member of a committee and absolutely love it! i want to give film soc's socials a fresh lick of paint whilst upkeeping the amazing work of the previous committee!

My name is Azrael Tay, and I will be running for Leeds University Film Society Social Secretary!

I believe I am the perfect candidate for this role, primarily because of my love of cinema. An international student from Singapore, I have an active Letterboxd journal I use daily, five years' experience in film as both an education and an industry, and have had films made and screened for various Singaporean film foundations and festivals.

As Social Secretary, I will introduce a new "Four Favourites Interview" segment to our Instagram Reels page, conducted with audiences and students before screenings and even across campus! I will continue to engage followers via Instagram Stories with audience polls and screening updates. Lastly, I will introduce a "Committee Film Recommendations" segment to our Instagram feed, featuring one committee member a week. I seek to use my skills and these initiatives to ultimately create a safe space, both in person and online, for members to gather and bond over their shared love of the movies.
