i'm mariam, a first-year english literature student :3 literature and philosophy are not my only areas of expertise and i find myself more than comfortable with numbers (thanks to physics a-level). i have tons of experience being treasurer for various clubs and being in charge of funds for several children in need, UNICEF and cancer research UK events. making things happen behind the scenes is my forte :p

handling money, as you can see, is second nature to me. your vote will ensure that philsoc events can run smoothly and are handled diligently in trustworthy hands

Hey I'm Leah, a first year student studying Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Thought! I love Phil Soc and all the friends I've made here this year, and would jump at the chance to join the committee next year. I've got a head for maths (I even took further maths at a level) and am passionate about philosophy (always eager to learn more from the talks). I want to make sure this amazing society has the funds to continue to run all its events - most importantly, the wine and cheese nights ;) - and I will do my best to support the rest of the committee with planning new ideas (phil soc Otley Run anyone?!).
